Rebecca Tews-Kozlowski, Ph.D.

Rebecca Tews-Kozlowski. Ph.D., is Associate Director of Training and Associate Professor Clinical Psychology at the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Schaumburg, IL. Dr. Tews-Kozlowski received her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Marquette University.  Dr. Tews-Kozlowski has taught both graduate and undergraduate courses in a variety of private and public institutions over the last thirteen years. Additionally she has been a field placement director and graduate director of training; specializing in mentoring students in their field work.  Dr. Tews-Kozlowski is an Illinois licensed clinical psychologist and has a private practice in Warrenville, Il with special interest in working with individuals with brain differences due to TBI/ABI, birth injury, neurodevelopmental differences and biochemical issues. Her research interests include the effects of video games on both a cognitive and biological level, the impact of craniosynostosis on infants and their families and managing family impact, social needs and innovative program resources for those with structural brain differences/injuries.  Dr. Tews-Kozlowski works with individuals of all ages but particularly focuses on work with young people ages 2 through college and their families. She has been working in one capacity or another with this population for more than 25 years. Dr. Tews-Kozlowski also provides patient advocacy, consultation to community programs working with TBI/ABI, programs developing alternative instructional support models for ABI/PDD/FASD and to area schools developing programs to meet the needs of those with neurodevelopmental differences.
