Core Faculty - M. Chet Mirman, Ph.D.
M. Chet Mirman, PhD is an Associate Professor and core faculty member in the Clinical Psychology program of the American School of Professional psychology at Argosy University\Schaumburg. He received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Michigan State University in 1984. Prior to coming to Argosy, Dr. Mirman was the Director of Clinical Training in Psychology at Forest Hospital and taught at Michigan State University, Loyola University and Oakton Community College. He is currently in private practice and a partner at the Center for Divorce Recovery. Dr. Mirman teaches Psychoanalytic Theory and Therapy; Psychopathology; and Therapy Practicum Seminar. He has presented and published in the following areas: The psychology of spirituality; male identity development; the role of the therapy relationship in intensive psychotherapy; and shame and selfhood.
